Shirogane Blue Pond (Shiroganeaoiike)

The Blue Pond is a famous tourist spot for its blue appearance. The reason the pond appears blue is due to a combination of the aluminum-rich water flowing from the hot spring town and sunlight.
The attraction of the Blue Pond is that the blue surface of the water changes to emerald green, light blue, or milky blue depending on the season, weather, time of day, and angle.
