2.Reviews

Hitachi Seaside Park is popular even on weekdays for its beauty, with nemophila flowers spread across the vast park. The paths are well-maintained, allowing you to enjoy the view as you walk. Depending on the season, you can also see kochia in full bloom.

The Hill of Nemophila is worth a visit, with its spectacular view of blue flowers blending with the sky. By moving around the park on an electric assist cycle, you can enjoy the park without wasting time.
It’s the best time to see the red kochia and full-bloom cosmos, and it’s recommended to wear comfortable shoes. The park is very large, so it’s convenient to use the train.

Hitachi Seaside Park is recommended for people of all ages, those who want to enjoy flowers and scenery, those who like cycling and walking, and those looking for a place where children can play. If you bring food and drinks, you can enjoy a whole day at a low cost.

This park utilizes a vast area that was once the Mito Army Airfield and a bombing range for the U.S. military. Opened as a national park in 1991, it offers a variety of flowers such as daffodils, tulips, nemophilas, and kochia, as well as various attractions such as a Ferris wheel, thrill rides, and a BMX course.

Hitachinaka City is located in the center of Ibaraki Prefecture and was established in 1994 through the merger of Katsuta City and Nakaminato City. The former Katsuta City area is an industrial city that developed as a company town of Hitachi Ltd., and many citizens still work for Hitachi Ltd. and its related companies. It also serves as a bedroom community for Mito City, with many suburban-type stores. On the other hand, the fishing industry is a major industry, and it has Hiraiso Beach and Ajigaura Beach as tourist resources.
