1.Basic Information

Kiyotsu Gorge is one of Japan’s Three Great Gorges, known for its towering rock walls and the beautiful Kiyotsu River. In 2018, it was renovated into an artistic space by a Chinese architect, featuring the five elements of nature: wood, earth, metal, fire, and water. The entrance has amenities like foot baths, cafes, and merchandise shops, but they are closed during the winter.

Kiyotsu Gorge Panorama Station

The view from here can only be described as “breathtaking.” The tunnel entrance is just a 5-minute walk from the parking lot, and from there, you are free to explore. The tunnel is about 750 meters long and has three observation platforms along the way. Each platform offers stunning views. Additionally, artistic toilets are located within the tunnel, ensuring you won’t be bored during your walk. The entire walk takes around 30 to 40 minutes. Since taking photos at the Panorama Station is popular, it’s recommended to go early and avoid the queues.
